Three silk ribbons all patterned with fresh chamomile flowers.
They have all been created by the flowers actually leaving a print, and the colour, on the silk.
It’s often possible to actually see individual flowers.
The first ribbon on the LEFT of pictures 2 and 3 is a really intense golden orange SOLD OUT
The MIDDLE ribbon is also patterned all over but with more pale areas which create contrast.
The ribbon on the RIGHT has fewer flowers on a creamy and pale apricot background.
SOLD OUT
The ribbons are approx. 2 metres long and 5cm wide (2”).
All the ribbons are pure silk and have soft, hand frayed edges.
I collected the flowers growing on a patch of waste ground in the town.
I just collect what I need and there are thousands left for all the bees and other insects.
The ribbons are sent rolled on pegs to avoid wrinkles.
