This is almost an empty scarf, pure silk with tiny markings made with rusty metal.
A calm, quiet scarf.
I collect the rusty metal along the beach during the winter. In the summer the beach is cleaned daily and you rarely find anything there except holiday makers.
In the winter there’s a few things to find.
Like all of my scarves this has been slowly created up on my roof using only the sun as a heat source, slowly and patiently letting nature do its work.
Obviously the scarf is unique.
It measures 45cm x 176cm (18” x 69”).
Pure silk with hand rolled edges.
The scarf can be washed in cool water and ironed. I usually iron on medium heat while the silk is still a little damp.
