This is a great scarf. It has a pinky purple background with lots of random patterning made by placing dyestuffs directly onto the silk.
Patterns made with dahlia petals, logwood chips, a little bit of cochineal and some occasional underlying streaks of blue indigo.
Like all of my scarves this has been slowly dyed up on my roof using only the sun as a heat source, slowly and patiently letting nature do its work.
It measures 45cm x 154cm.
Pure silk with hand rolled edges.
The scarf can be washed in cool water and ironed. I usually iron on medium heat while the silk is still a little damp.
